Texas Children's Houston Open, which is the 14th event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, will be played in Houston, Texas, USA, between 27 and 30 March.
What to know about the tournament
The tournament was founded in 1946 and it is held at the Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course since 2021, and it has been sponsored by Cadence Bank and Hewlett Packard Enterprise over the years.
The 2024 event saw a return to a calendar-year format for the PGA Tour after being cancelled in 2023 and the tournament returned to a spring date in March last year, being sponsored by Texas Children's Hospital.

The Astros Golf Foundation - the tournament organisers - announced that Rory McIlroy has committed to play in the 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Also joining the field in 2025 is Rickie Fowler, who is a star and fan-favorite on the PGA Tour, most recently won the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic

This year's Texas Children's Houston Open field is headlined by defending champion Stephen Jager and the likes of McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Wyndham Clark.
Regarding past tournament champions who will also be a part of the 156-player field at the Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course, 2019 champion Lanto Griffin and 2022 champion Tony Finau are set to compete.
What Is At Stake
The Texas Children's Houston Open will see golfers compete for a share of the $9,5 million purse, with the 2025 champion receiving a cheque of $1,71 million.
The winner of this event will also receive 500 FedEx Cup points, a yet-to-be-determined amount of OWGR points, and a trophy that is unique with a distinctive design.

"We think we should get about half of the top 20 players in the world," Astros owner Jim Crane and the Astros Golf Foundation said on ABC13 ahead of the 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open.
